20TH ANNIVERSARY GEOTOUR LAUNCH DATE SCHEDULED
Our 20th Anniversary GeoTour now has an official launch date. The tour goes live on Saturday October 29th. We are putting together kick-off events around the state to help kick the tour off in grand fashion. You can also pick up your premium member coin if you are a WSGA premium member prior to 9/30/22. Chapter Reps will have the coins to hand out to members during the kick off events.
All GeoTour cache owners need to have their geocache placed and submitted to the reviewer ASAP. If you have already done so, please go out and check on your placed cache prior to 10/29/22 to see if its still where its supposed to be. If the cache is missing, contact your chapter rep for a replacement container.
VP Removal
During last nights board meeting (meeting of September 21, 2022) a motion of “no-confidence” with our current vice president occurred. The vote that followed the motion resulted in a vote of over 2/3 of the board to remove our current sitting vice president.
We are now currently looking for a interim vice president to finish out the rest of the current term which would end 3/31/23. If you are interested in the position, please contact us via our contact page on our website with the subject of “VP Position”. We are looking to fill the position by our next board meeting on 11/16/22. Interested candidates should contact us no later than 11/1/22. Candidates interested in running for the VP position would have to be vetted and would be required to attend our 11/16/22 meeting for questions from our board members and a vote into the VP position. All Candidates for the VP position are required to be a current WSGA member and must reside within the borders of Washington State.

GEOCACHING WITH THE MARINERS
Major League Baseball and Geocaching collide! The Seattle Mariners, Geocaching.com, and the WSGA have come together to have a Geocaching night with the Seattle Mariners! This special night is on Saturday, September 10th. The Mariners will be hosting the Atlanta Braves at T-Mobile Park at 6:10 PM. Geocachers will receive a free Mariner’s trackable during the 3rd inning of the game. If you are interested in going to the game and getting a trackable Mariners geocaching tag, you have to purchase tickets from the Seattle Mariners at the following link:

Tickets for this special game are $14 for view seats and $25 for main level seats. So come on out to the ballpark, support the Mariners and geocaching on this very special night!
