Now that the dust has settled, I'd like to thank everyone for extending such a warm welcome to our visitors and making WSGA’s contributions to GeoWoodstock such a smashing success. This was the largest endeavor WSGA has undertaken – the Going APE event alone was three times the size of anything we’ve attempted before – and none of it would have happened without our volunteers. Some folks volunteered for multiple activities, and many members supported COWWS in hosting the main events.
The scope of GW-related activities is as impressive as the volunteers who managed and supported them: the Going APE event, two On the Road events, two Fireworks 4th events, the WSGA booth at GeoWoodstock, the Cache Maintenance Drive, new APE trackables and other merchandise, and the new Cache Recommendations section on our website. To all our volunteers - job well done, you rock!

In the words of Brian's brother, Kevin Parkhurst: "Brian passed away this morning 7-20-10. He was loved by many. Brian was an organ donor and although none of his organs were in shape to donate, they will be donating his corneas to someone. Good job Brian.

POSTPONED. The board meeting is canceled for July 22 and will be rescheduled later this summer. We will still have the annual general meeting at the Campout on Aug. 14 after dinner. And the next issue of the newsletter will be a combined July/Aug issue in early August.
The WSGA Board of Directors will hold our next quarterly Business Meeting on Thursday, July 22. The meeting will be 7:00-9:00 pm in Live Chat. All members are welcome to attend. To join the meeting, simply click Live Chat in the top navigation. The agenda will be published as a reply to this announcement a few days before the meeting.

All aboard the hippie bus! WSGA created a special GeoWoodstock T-shirt, and we sold out quickly at our GW booth, with folks signing up for more.
So it's back on sale - get yours before they're gone forever! The shirts are $12 + shipping, and we'll be taking orders until August 6, so we can get them delivered before GeoWoodstock is a distant memory.

WSGA's Going APE event is on the Seattle Times home page today (July 5), with a nice video collage of folks visiting the cache and voice-over commentary by several cachers, including our own TotemLake! View the video. There's also a good story on GeoWoodstock.
