As you know, our Vice President, Jesse Fulbright (Cookingbugs05), resigned effective Jan. 31, as he accepted a new job in Montana. Jesse served on the Board for two years as South Central Chapter Rep and was elected VP for 2010. Jesse was an active and positive force on the board, and he will be missed.
Per our Bylaws, nominations to fill the Vice President position may come from any club member. All nominees must be current WSGA members (dues paid for 2010). If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for Vice President, please email me by Feb. 15. The duties of the Vice President are outlined in Article VIII of the Bylaws.
The election will take place in late February. More information regarding the election procedure and a link to the voting page will be posted here after the nomination period has closed.

Memorial Service for Dianne Kienholz

Memorial Service for Dianne Kienholz

One of our fellow cachers, Dianne Kienholz (Lummieh), the matriarch of Seabeck Tribe, died suddenly of heart failure on Jan. 9. Dianne was a wonderful, generous lady and our heart goes out to her family and friends in Kitsap County.
Her daughter Lori asked us to let the geocaching community know that her memorial will be this Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:00 pm at the Crosby Chapel, 169404 NW Church Rd, Seabeck, with a potluck to follow.
In lieu of flowers, they ask that donations be made to the Shriners Hospital in Spokane or Childrens Hospital in Seattle in memory of Sherry Anne Kienholz.

WSGA Officer's Resignation

WSGA Officer's Resignation

It is my sad duty to report that our WSGA Vice President has submitted his resignation, effective January 31st. Jesse Fulbright (Cookingbugs05) has served the WSGA as a Chapter Representative and has most recently been elected as Vice President for 2010. Jesse brought many insights and much enthusiasm to the board, he will be greatly missed. Thank you, Jesse, for all that you have done for the WSGA!
"I regret that at this time I have to announce my resignation from the Washington State Geocaching Association's Board of Directors, specifically as vice-president, effective February 1st. Having taken a job as the Liberty County Agriculture Extension Agent in Montana my primary residence will be outside of the state of Washington. It is only with sadness and regret that I make this announcement. For over 2 years I have served as the WSGA Central Chapter representative and now as vice-president. My time has been filled with pleasant associations with board members and general members alike and I will treasure those experiences. I have full faith in the current WSGA Board of Directors that they will make and continue to make decisions which are in agreement with the WSGA's mission as a state geocaching community, especially pertaining to outreach to the general public and advocacy with our state agencies.
As per our WSGA bylaws, specifically Article VI, "Vacancies on the Board shall be announced in email and on the web site prior to an election to fill the vacancy. Nominations to fill the vacancy will come from the Board or from the general membership. This election will take place on the website, within a month following the announcements. Individuals elected to fill vacancies will serve the remainder of the standard term of office."
If any of you are ever in the state of Montana, specifically around Great Falls, please don't hesitate to look me up.
Respectfully,
Jesse Fulbright (Cookingbugs05)"
